Part of a main route at Inverness is to close next week for five hours overnight to white lining work, Highland Council has warned today.

A short section of the B9006 will be shut from around 8pm on Monday, October 14 till 1am on Tuesday, October 15.

The section, which is about 80 metres long, is between the main entrance to Raigmore Hospital and the entrance to Inshes Roundabout which allows access to the A9 north and south, Culloden, Sir Walter Scott Drive, Tesco Inshes and Northern Constabulary HQ.

Some local diversion routes will be available.
