A bridge on a busy part of the North Coast 500 will be closed for several nights running later this month, Highland Council has warned.

The Lovat Bridge, which cross the RIver Beauly on the A862 Inverness to Beauly road, will close from Monday, January 27 for four consecutive nights.

The closures will run from midnight until 5am nightly, and Highland Council says they are needed while road surface marking works are carried out.

A Highland Council spokesperson said: “Lovat Bridge (A862), Beauly, Inverness-shire will be closed to vehicular traffic over four consecutive nights, commencing on Monday, January 27, to enable road surface marking works to proceed. The closure will be in place from midnight until 5am nightly.

“If weather conditions are favourable, then it may be possible to complete the work over 2 nights, with the bridge re-opening earlier than planned.”
