This is what a planned new life sciences innovation centre at Inverness Campus could look like.

The proposed facility is a joint project between Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) and the University of the Highlands and Islands.

HIE cannot say how much it will cost and is not able to put a clear timescale on the project.

The university element of the centre secured £9 million from the UK government through the Inverness and Highland City-Region Deal. The university was also successful in securing funding from the European Regional Development Fund Scotland Programme 2014-2020.
