Nairn set to host Odysseus Piano Trio in weekend concert





An internationally acclaimed trio is set to visit Nairn next month for the next concert of a popular music series.

The Odysseus Piano Trio will perform at Nairn Community & Arts Centre on Friday March 7 at 7.30pm as part of Music Nairn’s programme.

On the night the ensemble is set to perform a selection of works including Brahms’ Piano Trio No. 1 Op. 8 in B major, Dvorak’s Op. 90 No. 4 in E minor 'Dumky' Trio, and Helen Grime’s 'Three Whistler Miniatures'.

Formed in 2015, the trio comprises three distinguished musicians – Sara Trickey (violin), Rosie Biss (cello) and Domonkos Csabay (piano) – each with flourishing solo careers.

According to organisers, the ensemble has garnered critical acclaim for its “dynamic and deeply expressive performances, delivering both classical and contemporary repertoire with profound artistry.

Having performed in leading venues across the UK and Europe, they are renowned for their refined musical interpretations, bringing together a shared passion for chamber music, engaging audiences with both well-loved masterpieces and exciting new compositions.

Tickets (£19 for adults and £16 for members, and discounted at £3 for Under25s and Universal Credit recipients) can be purchased online, in person at the centre or calling 01667 453476.
