Nominations for your favourite city centre businesses for the Inverness City Centre Business Awards close this Sunday.

Organised by Inverness BID and sponsored by the Inverness Courier you can nominate your go-to eatery, a beloved retailer, an outstanding service or a hard-working charity that consistently goes the extra mile to give them the recognition they deserve.

Everyone who votes will be entered into the prize draw to have a chance to win a £100 Inverness City Centre Gift Card.

Nominations close at midnight on Sunday, October 13, when the shortlist of finalists will be announced, and the public will once again be able to vote for the winners.

Craig Duncan, co-chairman of Inverness BID, said: "These awards are a unique celebration of the hard work and dedication which help to make Inverness city centre a great place to live, work and visit.

“What makes them special is that the public – the people who are the most important to our business community get to decide both the nominees and the winners.”

Fellow co-chairman Colin Craig added: "It’s easy to get involved.

“Just scan the QR code or click on the link on the news section of the BID website to cast your votes.

“Businesses very much appreciate everyone who takes the time to get involved and this year’s winners will be announced at an awards ceremony to be held at the Drumossie Hotel on November 14.”

Lorna Reynolds of Colin Campbell Jewellers, winner of the independent retailer of the year award in 2023, explained: “Winning meant so much to us because it came from the people we work hard to serve every day.”

This year’s award categories are: national retailer, independent retailer, connoisseurs choice award, restaurant, café or bistro, takeaway, city centre charity, Eastgate Centre business, Victorian Market business, health and wellbeing business, hair and beauty or barber shop, professional and business services, bar or pub, creative or culture business, boutique or menswear retailer, hospitality or tourism business.

For more details and to nominate, visit the news section on the BID website.
