Highland Council Gaelic Medium pupils were delighted to welcome Cuach na Cloinne back to the area after more than two years away.

The regional heats of the national five-a-side competition took place at the Bught Park, Inverness.

Gaelic medium P4-7 pupils from schools including Inverness, Craighill, Gairloch and Ullapool took part, and this year many more girls participated than in previous competitions.

Education support officer Lena Walker said the pupils played well and really enjoyed the day and she thanked the coaches, parents, and school staff who helped.

Marina Mhoireach, from Comunn na Gàidhlig, added that the level of talent, sportsmanship, excitement and Gaelic were all very high.
