Public outrage as cars and walls vandalised with spray paint in Inverness sparks police enquiry

Police have started enquiries after vehicles and walls were found vandalised with yellow spray paint along a city-centre street in Inverness.

Residents walking to their cars yesterday morning in Huntly Street were shocked when they saw the damage.

Locals were also angry as they discovered parts of the busy street’s walls had also been covered in paint.

A police spokesperson said: “At around 12.35pm on Sunday, July 14, 2024, we received a report of damage to a car and walls on Huntly Street, Inverness.

“Enquiries are at an early stage.”
