A public forum meeting for Gorthleck Village Improvement Scheme, which was due to take place on Monday, has been cancelled.

Highland Council has said it was with regret over the move which was due to the current situation with Covid-19.

A spokesman said: "With the current high rate of transmission and the potential impact on the local Gorthleck community, primary school and wider South Loch Ness area it is considered appropriate to cancel the event.

"A replacement event will be organised in due course. The council apologises for the late notice of this cancellation and any inconvenience caused."
