Dozens of properties to the south of Loch Ness without power following electrical fault on network, Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks confirms

DOZENS of homes on the south side of Loch Ness were without power this morning after a fault on overhead lines.

Forty-six homes and businesses in Dores, Gorthleck, Errogie and Torness were left without electricity following the outage at 6.39am.

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) said that engineers were now on site, and that it hoped to have restored power to all properties by 1pm at the latest.
