Part of Inverness has been left without an electricity supply today.

The power cut began at 11.27am and Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) is hoping to have the fault in the Drakies area fixed by 4pm.

The four affected postcode areas are: IV2 3RT, IV2 3SB, IV2 3SD and IV2 3SF.

An SSEN spokesman said: "We’re sorry for the loss of supply. We currently have a fault affecting the areas listed. Our engineers are on site working hard to get the power back on as quickly as they can."
