A POPULAR Inverness café is set to move to a new prime location.

Whisk Away in the city’s Baron Taylor’s Street is looking to relocate to Queensgate in the autumn.

Owner Nyomi Dixon hopes the spot opposite the Post Office will increase footfall and allow for an expanded menu.

Ms Dixon currently employs nine staff at the café serving up breakfast, brunches and lunches as well as cakes and coffee.

She said: “We leave the current unit at the end of August.

“We’ve been here a year.

“It’s been difficult but we are enjoying it and it’s what I want to do.

“I think the new place will be a better location. I think it will be more beneficial.”

She added: “The location we are in just now makes things a bit of a struggle.

“But with the Queensgate site there will be more footfall and we hope to do a little bit more as well because it’s a different class of licence so we will be able to add things to the menu, extend opening hours and so on.”

Nyomi said they will be taking their popular dishes with them to the new premises including top-sellers French toast and pancakes.
