Inverness BID servant Colin Craig, of Oil & Vinegar, steps down from city centre promo role in preparation for retirement





A longstanding director of Inverness BID is stepping down from the board as he moves into retirement.

Colin Craig, who is preparing to close his much-loved city centre business Oil & Vinegar, had previously served as the organisation’s co-chairman and vice-chairman.

HIs official departure date will be September 30, with the Oil & Vinegar franchise expected to move into new hands..

Mr Craig, a respected local businessman, was first appointed to the Inverness BID Board on June 27, 2018 and, during his tenure, generously volunteered his time, expertise and commitment to supporting the city centre and its well-being.

Speaking on behalf of the BID board and team, chairman Gordon McIntosh said: “Colin is a highly-valued member of the board whose contribution over the years has been considerable.

“Colin has helped us develop our activities as well as navigate challenging situations with his trademark good humour and intelligent, measured approach.

“His dedication to the city centre business community was ever-present and his support of BID’s work has been considerable.

“We will all greatly miss his presence, but we are extremely grateful for his seven-plus years of outstanding service.

“On behalf of the BID board and team, we extend to both Colin and his wife Sandie our warmest thanks and send them every good wish for a long and happy, and well-earned, retirement.”
