Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has said she wants to hold a second independence referendum next year.

She has also said she will set out what the Scottish government would do if the UK government does not allow it to go ahead.

The Scottish government has today published the Scottish independence referendum bill and the proposed date is October 19, 2023.
