POLL: Would you consider keeping your child off school to watch Scotland's first Euro 2020 match against the Czech Republic on Monday if their school is not showing it? Highland Council has left the decision to individual headteachers as it has a devolved management of more than 200 schools across the region

Highland Council has said that it is up to each school whether or not to let pupils watch Euro 2020 matches during the tournament.

The tournament kicks off today, with the first group stage match featuring Turkey against Italy, with Scotland's first game against the Czech Republic on Monday – however that match starts at 2pm when pupils are still at school.

The event is even more special this year as it is the first time Scotland has qualified for a major competition in 23 years.

If your child's school decides not to show the game would you consider keeping them off school so they can watch the historic action?
