In an Inverness Courier poll seeking your views on the latest lockdown measures a majority did not agree with the imposition of new rules.

Following First Minister Nicola Sturgeon's announcement on Wednesday of new measures to combat the spread of coronavirus - including a ban on click and collect for all but essential services and a bar on customers entering takeaway premises - we asked if you agreed with the tightening of restrictions.

A total of 1157 votes were cast in the poll.

Of those, 675 (58 per cent) said they did not agree with the tightening of restrictions against 482 (42 per cent) who said they did.

The new rules are due to come into force tomorrow.
