Labour members are set to vote for a new Scottish leader.

A majority of people in an Inverness Courier poll have rejected either candidate standing to be Scottish Labour's new leader.

Following the news that Richard Leonard, who had led Scottish Labour for the past three years , was standing down, MSPs Anas Sarwar and Monica Lennon both declared they would bid to replace him.

We asked who you thought should get the job - either of the two candidates or someone else.

The majority of votes in the poll – 42 per cent of votes – went to the "someone else" option.

Anas Sarwar took 38 per cent of votes with Monica Lennon on 24 per cent.

Nominations have now closed for the post.

The new leader is set to be announced on February 27.
