Officers from Police Scotland's Highland and Islands Police Division will meet the public in the Inverness area to hear concerns

Officers from Highland and Islands Police Division's local community policing team are due to meet members of the public in the Inverness area next week.

Local councillors and housing officers will also be available to discuss any issues or concerns that people may have.

On Tuesday they will be at the following locations:

• 9.30am to 10.30am: Charleston Shopping Complex car park in General Booth Road;

• 11am to noon: the skate park in Bught Road;

• 1pm to 2pm: Merkinch Community Centre in Coronation Park.

On Wednesday they will be at the following locations:

• 9.30am to 10.30am: The rear car park at Culloden Shopping Centre in Keppoch Road;

• 11am to noon: outside Scotmid on the Raigmore Estate;

• 1pm to 2pm: the community centre car park in Hilton.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Officers will be utilizing the mobile incident van should you have any private matters you wish to discuss in confidence.

"Social distancing will be adhered to and facemasks/hand gel will be available.

"Due to the nature of our jobs we may have to leave at short notice. Your understanding of this is greatly appreciated."
