Highland and Islands Police Division is planning to hold a number of street surgeries in Inverness today where residents can share any concerns or issues

Residents will get the chance to speak with members of the Inverness Community Policing Team today.

They will be holding several street surgeries in the following community council areas:

• Merkinch Community Centre between 5pm and 5.45pm;

• St Francis Gardens in Dalneigh from 6pm to 6.45pm;

• Kinmylies Surgery car park between 7pm and 7.45pm.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We would welcome members of the public and members of community councils to come along and share any policing concerns or issues with us.

"Our aim is to be available in your community and to be able to help and support you. This is a drop in service for all, even if you live somewhere else.

"We plan to do further street surgeries next month in Raigmore, Lochardil and Hilton. Each month there will be different locations in the Inverness area.
