Police Scotland festive safety roadshow to visit Inverness, Nairn, Alness, Dingwall, Kyle of Lochalsh, Tain, Aviemore, Wick, Thurso and Fort William; Highland Council trading standards team also taking part

A POLICE roadshow will be travelling the Highlands this festive season - offering safety tips and advice to avoid scammers.

The Festive Safety Roadshow will visit Inverness three times, Nairn, Alness, Dingwall, Aviemore, Wick, Thurso, Fort William, Kyle of Lochalsh and Tain.

Trading Standards officers from Highland Council will also be attending some of the events.

“Come and find out why you should #BuyReal and avoid fakes.Have a go and see if you can spot the counterfeits!” said a spokeswoman for Highland Council.

The first roadshow event is in the Eastgate Centre in Inverness tomorrow (Wednesday), followed by Grampian Road in Aviemore on Thursday and the Tesco in Dingwall on Friday.

On Monday it will stop at the Morrison’s store in Alness, and then the supermarket chain’s base in Fort William on December 10. The Tesco stores in Wick and Thurso will be visited on December 10 and 11, respectively.

The roadshow returns to Inverness, and the Tesco at Inverness Shopping Park on December 13.

The final week will see it visit Sainsbury’s in Nairn (December 16), the Co-op in Kyle (December 17), the Tesco in Tain (December 19) and the Eastgate Centre in Inverness (December 20).
