Police appeal for information on missing teenager Scott Shearer last seen in Inverness on Wednesday

Police are searching for a teenager last seen in the Inverness area on Wednesday.

Scott Shearer (17) was dropped off at the city's Tesco at Holm Mills at 4.10 pm and was to meet a friend.

He was due to be collected at about 9.20 pm that evening, but failed to return.

Mr Shearer is described as 5ft 8 in height, of slim build, with short dark hair and was last seen wearing a blue tracksuit top, grey North Face jumper, grey North face joggers and was in possession of a black ruck sack.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact Dingwall Police Station on 101.
