Police have issued an appeal for information following the reported theft of trees from woodland near a Highland village.

The incident happened on Saturday January 23 in an area of woodland next to Riverford Autos in Conon Bridge.

A number of trees were cut down and wood removed during the afternoon.

It is believed a Luton or box-type van may have been used.

Police Scotland said officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw a vehicle of this type in the area at the time.

Anyone with information should contact Police on 101.
