Police have issued an appeal after cars were vandalised in Inverness.

Inverness police have issued an appeal for information after several cars in a city neighbourhood were vandalised.

The vandalism occurred while the cars were parked in Planefield Road and Duncraig Street in Dalneigh.

It happened on Saturday December 19 between 5.45pm and 6pm.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or may have been driving in the area at the time and have dashcam footage.

The suspect was wearing a long black jacket with a hood and was last seen in Planefield Road.

Anyone with information should contact 101 or attend Burnett Road Police Station, quoting crime reference NN7752/20.
