Inverness Police Scotland officers investigating after girl (11) hit ‘by car mounting pavement’ at Inverness Shopping Park in the Highland capital
Police are investigating after a car mounted a pavement and struck an 11-year-old girl without stopping.
Officers say enquiries are continuing after the alleged incident, which occurred in the Inverness Shopping Park at around 3.15pm on Sunday.
The girl, who reportedly suffered a sore ankle, was otherwise unhurt and did not require medical treatment.
The precise location of the collision took place at the crossroads zebra crossings in Eastfield Way next to Hollywood Bowl and Pizza Hut.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.15pm on Sunday, May 25, we received a report of a collision involving a car and an 11-year-old female pedestrian on Eastfield Way, Inverness.
“The girl did not require medical treatment. Enquiries are ongoing.”
