Police in 'riot gear' called to home in Inverness

Emergency services were called to an incident at 5.40pm yesterday, Sunday, in Merkinch.

Police and ambulances were called to the disturbance at Lochalsh Court, on Grant Street on Sunday.

Four police vehicles and two ambulances were in attendance.

One eye witness said: "Police have cordoned off an area of Grant Street and there are what looks to be like police wearing riot gear in the street."

A police spokeswoman said: "We received a report of concern for a person on Lochalsh Court in Inverness around 5.40pm. Emergency services were in attendance. No further information available."
