Police Scotland officers in Inverness on the hunt for a thief who struck at a house in Kinmylies

POLICE are on the hunt for a thief who struck at a house in an Inverness neighbourhood in the early hours of the morning.

Officers are investigating a "theft from a house" in the Kinmylies area of the city, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, September 14. Police did not specify the street.

"Anyone who saw a suspicious person in the area or in gardens is asked to contact police on 101, or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111," said a spokesman for the force.
