Police confirm one person has died after being struck by a train near Dingwall





British Transport Police has confirmed a person has died after being struck by a train near Dingwall.

A spokesperson commented: “We were called to an area of the line close to Dingwall at around 8.20am this morning, Monday, August 19, following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

“Officers attended along with paramedics but sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the Procurator Fiscal.”
