Police Scotland officers in the Highlands say they are 'concerned for the welfare' of a missing Skye woman who was last seen more than three weeks ago; Caroline Hunt is believed to have travelled to Inverness on August 11 and may have headed onward to London

POLICE are "concerned for the welfare" of a missing woman who has not been seen for almost a month.

The public have been urged to come forward with any sightings of Caroline Hunt (56).

Police say that Ms Hunt, from Edinbane on Skye, is believed to have travelled to Inverness from Skye on Tuesday, August 11 and has not been seen since. She may also have travelled from the Highland capital onward to London.

She is 5ft 7in tall, of slim build, with shoulder length brown hair, has glasses, and was wearing a light blue waterproof jacket. She was also carrying a black and green Berghaus rucksack.
