Police are to hold a driver engagement session in the Highlands for older drivers and their families.

Driver engagement north will be running a session in Drumnadrochit over the next few weeks.

The project makes use of an interactive driving simulator to assess and highlight a participant's reactions, hazard awareness and any potential vulnerabilities.

The project received funding from Transport Scotland and is led by Police Scotland, with support from a number of partners including the NHS, Local Authority Community Safety Groups, IAM Roadsmart, Age Concern and RoSPA.

The sessions will be held at the Craigmonie Centre at Glen Urquhart High School on the following dates;

  • Monday, June 27 at 5pm
  • Saturday, July 23 at 10am
  • Saturday, July 30 at 10am

Anyone who wishes to attend is asked to email CraigmonieCC@highlifehighland.com or contact the centre directly.

Any parties interested in setting up a driver engagement north session or looking for more information about the project can contact highlandandislandsdriverengagement@scotland.pnn.police.uk
