Police appeal over break-in and theft at Tesco on Dores Road in the early hours of Saturday

Detectives are appealing for information after a theft by housebreaking incident which occurred on Saturday at the Tesco on Dores Road in Inverness.

Between 1.00am and 1.15am on Saturday, an unknown male gained entry into the Tesco by smashing a glass panel of a fire exit door and went on to steal a quantity of items from within.

It is not the first time the store has been targeted, in July Police investigated another night-time break-in and theft, later issuing pictures of three suspects.

The unknown male is described to be wearing a dark coloured tracksuit with a white emblem, black trainers, a blue snood, white gloves and have a blue rucksack on their back.

Detective Constables at Inverness said: "Our enquiries are on-going whereby we are continuing to gather and study CCTV from in and around the local area to assist us in establishing more information on this crime.

“We are asking anyone who may have heard or saw anything suspicious in the area or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the suspect that could assist our investigation to please contact 101 with reference number 0232 of 26/10/2024."
