Police appeal after sports car ‘narrowly avoided collision’ on A82

REPORTS of careless driving on the A82 involving a green sports car has triggered a police appeal for information.

Police have received reports that at 2.15pm on January 21 a green sports car was seen overtaking a queue of traffic and narrowly avoiding a collision with an oncoming car on the A82, near the Clansman Hotel.

Police Scotland Highlands and Islands said: “We are appealing for information following a report of a careless driving, about 14:15 on 21/01/2025 on the A82, close to the Clansman Hotel just north of Drumnadrochit.

“A green coloured sports car was observed overtaking a queue of traffic and narrowly avoided a collision with an oncoming car.

“Anyone with information in relation to this incident or with any dashcam footage is urged to contact us via 101, quoting incident number 1780 of the 21st January 2025.”
