POLICE vehicles and ambulance were in attendance on the Holm Mills Bridge over the River Ness at Inverness this afternoon.

A member of the public alerted The Inverness Courier that there appeared to be an incident on the crossing about 4.30pm.

At one stage four police vehicles and an ambulance were parked on the bridge.

About 5.15pm, police said: "This was a medical issue – one person has been taken to hospital."
