Councillors are set to consider three separate planning applications from the same developer on Tuesday.

Members of Highland Council’s south planning applications committee will consider the proposals from Springfield Properties.

The first application is for 91 new homes and associated roads, landscaping and infrastructure on land at Drum Farm, south of a fire station in Drumnadrochit.

And the other two applications are for a total 51 homes – 31 houses and 20 flats – on land next to the Fire Station, East End in Beauly.

It has been recommended that councillors grant planning permission for all three applications.

The site of the Drumnadrochit development was granted permission for 93 units in October last year and this application reduces that total by two.

And the latest application proposes a change in house types from those previously granted and includes 23 affordable units.

The second application is for 40 residential units along with the associated works including a drainage pond, a detention pond and a pumping station.

And the last application is for 11 residential units along with the associated works required for a residential development at the same site.

The report states that the site is located to the north end of Beauly and is relatively flat land near the A862.
