Truck enthusiasts have been flocking to the Black Isle Showground to celebrate those working in the haulage industry in the Highlands and Islands.

TruckNess 2024 includes truck and vehicle displays, side shows, live entertainment, food and drink stalls and activities including games plus arts and crafts

The event also raises funds for Cash for Kids North Scotland which supports children and young people affected by poverty, abuse, neglect, life-limiting illness and those who have additional needs.

The annual event, held at the showground in Muir of Ord, initially started 12 years ago as a small exhibition of trucks and grew from there.

It now attracts entries from all over Scotland and draws in large crowds.

TruckNess lead organiser Nicola Mitchell said 237 vehicles are taking part this year.

As well as trucks, a selection of cars and bikes are also on show.

“The weather has been very changeable - it certainly was not on our side but there has been a good turnout,” she said.

“It has been a good morning and people are still coming in.

“So far it has been very successful.”

Other attractions include a truckers’ tug of war and a fun fair.
