An Inverness-based children’s charity has celebrated its third anniversary.
Some 120 guests were treated to cake, face painting, ice cream, a bouncy castle, music, and arts and crafts at the event for This is Me Highland at Bogbain Farm.
This is Me Highland helps children with neurological conditions to enjoy a better, happier life.
It provides play days, interactive learning sessions, and woodland walks. The activities allow children to work on socialising, increase their motor skills, and to be part of a team, improving their self-esteem.
Lockdown put a halt to activities that usually went ahead, but the charity is back to hosting regular walks, bowling nights, and more.
It staged the anniversary event to thank its members for all the support they provide.
Trustee Lindsay Fulton said: “We are very proud of how far the charity has come over the past three years and with over 400 members, we are truly grateful for all their support.
“We are excited for the future and aim to continue to support many more children and their families.
“Every day, children and young people in the Highlands are diagnosed with life-changing neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism, ADHD and foetal alcohol syndrome and this has a massive impact on them as individuals and their family too.
“This Is Me Highland, is here to bring happiness and social support through our guidance and support service, and social events for those diagnosed with these disorders and their families.”
