Strictly Inverness 2025 raises almost £300,000 in aid of Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice centre after ‘electric’ grand finale
It was a glittering night at Inverness Ice Centre last Saturday, as the contenders for this year’s Strictly Inverness trophy gave battle on the dance floor for this year’s title.
The fundraising event this year raised almost £300,000 in total in aid of the Ice Centre and the Highland Hospice, between the participants’ fundraising efforts and the main events taking place last week.
The grand final was an incredible showcase of dancing skills — with judges so impressed that seven dances got a full house score of thirty.
Winners of the competition were Michaela Newlands and Gavin Ordish-Smith, who were awarded perfect scores for their final dances.
Star judge on the night was professional dancer on BBC TV series Strictly Come Dancing Amy Dowden, who said she was incredibly impressed by the finalists’ efforts.
During her time in Inverness ahead of the final she also took time to visit the Highland Hospice — sharing her admiration for the community spirit in the Highland capital on an Instagram post.
Here are some of the pictures from Saturday night’s action.
