Skipinnish celebrated their 25th anniversary in style when the three-day weekender at the Big Top Under Canvas continued in Inverness last night.
The famous band, who were starring in the second of three nights of concerts in Bught Park in Inverness, attracted a large crowd to celebrate their milestone anniversary.
Also joining them for the evening were some special guests - including the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Pipes and Drums for the first live performance of Eagle’s Wing, as well as a performance with Runrig legend Malcolm Jones.
Back in the spring, Skipinnish co-founder Angus MacPhail, spoke of his excitement at sharing a stage with Malcolm for the special occasion. He said: “Malcolm has been a huge part of the Skipinnish story throughout our 25 years. He has been a big influence on our sound, a great advisor to us as a band and a great friend, so it is extra special that he accepted our invitation to perform with us.”
Music fans also got to enjoy support slots earlier in the evening from Alice MacMilln, Calum MacPhail and Rachel Walker.
Meanwhile, the three-day weekender, which started with Ministry of Sound Classical on Friday night, continues with big name star Rag'n'Bone Man on Sunday evening.
