Due to coronavirus restrictions P7 youngsters at Dalneigh Primary met in small groups to say goodbye at an appropriate social distance.
Along with most others across the country the school has been closed since mid-March when the country went into lockdown.
Still keen to mark the graduation a socially-distanced ceremony was held where pupils received a commemorative stationery set from the parent council after handshakes and high fives with head teacher Rhona MacCormick and P4-P7 teacher Daniel MacDonald – using a glove on a pole.
“It was a lovely idea suggested by the parent council,” Ms MacCormick said.
“It’s important we mark the move from primary to secondary school for the pupils.
“We were delighted to get the chance to catch up with them before they move to secondary school.”
Dalneigh Parent Council has asked anyone with video footage or photo memories of pupils at the school to share them via www.facebook.com/dalneighparentcouncil
