Inverness Classic Vehicle Show returns to city centre with 180 on display

Motorheads were in for a treat last weekend as Inverness city centre was invaded by classic cars and other vehicles on Saturday.

The Inverness Classic Vehicle Show brought crowds saw around 180 vintage and classic vehicles on display for visitors enjoying the sunshine and lively atmosphere.

Vehicle owners showcased their pride and joy to appreciative spectators.

A highlight of the event was the grand parade at 3pm, led by the oldest vehicle on show — a beautifully preserved 1922 Ford Model T accompanied, by the rousing sounds of the City of Inverness Youth Pipe Band.

Event organiser, Margaret Laws, Deputy Manager of Inverness BID said: “The weather was stunning, and it was a joy to see car owners relaxing in deck chairs beside their vehicles, chatting with visitors and enjoying the day.

“Many had travelled from across Scotland and spoke warmly of the welcome they received in Inverness.

“A popular new feature this year was the addition of the Super Cars on Drummond Street. The sleek, high-performance vehicles added an exciting modern twist to the event and proved a big hit with visitors of all ages.”

She added that local businesses provided very positive feedback, with many reporting increased footfall and a great atmosphere.

“Huge thanks to everyone who helped make the event such a success — we’re already looking forward to next year,” Ms Laws concluded.
