DEMOLITION work is continuing at the old Inverness College UHI building in Longman Road.

The work is being carried out by Central Demolition and is set to finish in July.

The building, which dates back to the 1950s, has been vacant since the new campus opened in 2015. The 4.5-acre site sits next to the city’s new purpose-built justice centre, which is going up rapidly.

Highland Council has earmarked the former college site for mixed-use development – which could involve retail, business, industrial, community or leisure use.
