Parts of an Inverness cemetery have been tidied up thanks to a Scottish regiment.

Soldiers from 19th Regiment Royal Artillery (The Scottish Gunners) have arrived in the Highland capital ahead of a parade on Saturday to exercise their freedom of the city.

During their visit, members of the regiment have been undertaking activities including helping to tidy up the areas around Commonwealth War Graves in Tomnahurich Cemetery.

They also visited Culloden Battlefield.

Saturday's parade which starts at 11.30am at the Northern Meeting Park will go across Ness Bridge and along High Street.

Major Andrew Wright said: “We hope to put on a spectacle for the city of Inverness.”
