Youngsters took the opportunity to make a magnifying glass at a workshop in the Eastgate Shopping Centre in Inverness.

It was the latest event in a programme of free weekly activities being organised as part of the centre’s summer Kids Club.

This year, the focus is on being more environmentally-friendly.

Digital and marketing executive Kirstin Gault said it was great to see so many wonderful designs of magnifying glasses.

"We hope everyone who came along enjoys the rest of the holidays exploring their gardens for little creatures," she said.

The Little Allotment trail on August 11 will be the last event in the programme.
