A Highland charity talent show hit the right note last weekend by raising more than £40,000 for local causes.

Held at the Drumossie Hotel in Inverness, Highland’s Got Talent — an annual fundraising event organised by Celebrating Amy, a fund in memory of late Muir of Ord resident Amy Tuach.

The teenager, who is a young singer and songwriter, raised more than £10,000 in the run up to the event.

The funds will go to Highland Hospice, Mikeysline and Cash For Kids North of Scotland — as well as RASASH, Sophie’s charity of choice, which will get £1000 in winners’ prize money.
