Mikeysline CEO Emily Stokes said: “It was a fantastic day, with an incredible atmosphere in the room, spilling out into the beautifully decorated Kingsmills garden on a day where the weather was just right - much laughter, entertainment and networking as well as relaxation and enjoyment amongst our guests.

“Entertained on arrival by Pete McKie doing country and then later by Highland Voices Gospel Choir - a joyous day, with amazing food and drink from the Kingsmills Hotel and wonderful to see such a display of colour and design choices in people's outfits and headwear.

“We at Mikeysline are so grateful for all the support for our annual day, we couldn't have been happier with how well it went and from the feedback received, it was certainly the success we hoped.

“We raised an incredible £27,000 profit after all costs have been deducted and are so grateful to our main sponsor Caley Timber and our race sponsor Stagecoach, as well as the Kingsmills Hotel for helping us to meet some of the costs of staging this hugely successful event - and to every business who donated prizes or supported us in anyway.

“We are already looking forward to next year's event.”

It comes as Mikeysline marked 10 years since it was established - and this year the charity also scooped two important accolades - being named as Emergency Services or Crisis Support Service of the Year at the Highland Heroes awards in March and picking up silver in the Impact in the Community category at the Mental Health & Wellbeing Awards in Edinburgh.
