Inverness stabbing – forensic officers and detectives step up search for clues after 50 year old man left seriously injured in late night attack on Tomnahurich Street
Forensic crime scene investigators are examining an Inverness street where a 50-year-old man was stabbed.
A special team of detectives are probing the vicious late-night attack in Tomnahurich Street which left the man seriously injured.

His current condition has not been disclosed, but the Courier has confirmed he is suffering from a stab wound or wounds.
Police Scotland earlier today launched an appeal for information after the incident at around 10.15pm on Thursday evening.
Scene of crime officers (SOCOs) working alongside officers were this afternoon seen examining pavements and buildings outside the premises on the corner of Tomnahurich Street and Kenneth Street earlier this afternoon.
Emergency services were called after the incident and the man was taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment.
Police Scotland say extensive enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
Detective Inspector Calum Reid said: “A dedicated team of officers are working on this and I would like to reassure the community that we are doing everything we can to trace whoever is responsible.
"Extensive enquiries are ongoing including reviewing CCTV and going door-to-door.
"I would also appeal to anyone who was in the area and who witnessed the assault and has not already spoken to police to contact us.
"I would also like to hear from anyone who has dash cam, private CCTV or doorbell footage around the time of the incident.
“Officers will remain in the area while enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with any information, or any concerns, can speak to them.”
