The first-ever Christmas charity tractor run organised by Nairnshire Farming Society, Nairn Junior Agriculture Club (JAC) and Nairn Rotary club was a big success, with more than £2300 raised on the day.

Residents in Nairn, Auldearn, Ardersier, Cawdor and Croy came out to meet and greet the tractors as they passed through several local communities, bedecked with festive lights and decorations for the occasion.

Posting on Facebook after the event, organisers said: “A huge thank you to everyone who braved the elements and came out to support yesterday’s Christmas Charity Tractor Run!

“The community support and the effort put in by all the volunteers and tractor drivers was a testament to Nairn and Shire.”

“On behalf of the Nairnshire Farming Society, Nairn JAC and Nairn Rotary, we are so grateful to everyone for the effort put in for the tractor run,” the organising team continued.
