An Inverness hotel was full of Christmas spirit at the weekend as it played host to an event in support of two charities.
The Beaufort Hotel hosted a Christmas market with a grotto and activities for kids to raise funds for local charities Mikeysline and MFR Cash for Kids.
Guests were able to meet Santa and browse the stalls, with more than 30 local businesses taking part.
Ryan Forbes, who became a partner at the hotel in June and manages the food and drinks side of the business, said: “The weekend went very well – although the weather was not great on Saturday we really had many people coming in. Kids were able to meet Mrs Claus, enjoy a hot chocolate and have stories read to them in our grotto.”
The first time the hotel has held a Christmas market, Mr Forbes said it was organised to bring the festive mood to locals in difficult times.
