DRAMATIC pictures from an Easter Ross school blaze have revealed the extent of the damage.

The fire ripped through Park Primary in Invergordon this morning.

All staff and pupils have been accounted for.

The area's MSP Gail Ross thanked the emergency services for their efforts and revealed she has already written to deputy First Minister John Swinney about the matter.

She said: "I have written to John Swinney, Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Education, to ask for immediate assistance for Park Primary after suffering fire damage today.

"The extent of the damage is not yet known but I expect a swift response from the Scottish Government.

"Highland Council report that everyone has been evacuated to safety and pupils are now in Invergordon Academy."
