PICTURES: Fraser School of Highland Dancing in Inverness celebrates pupils' achievements

A dance school celebrated pupils who passed their dance exams last week.

Fraser School of Highland Dancing held a medal presentation for pupils after all those who took part in the dance assessment passed with flying colours, receiving 100 per cent.

Elizabeth Fraser, who runs the school, said: “It went very well, and there was a nice crowd who all enjoyed it.

“It was very encouraging to see the young people get their awards.

“They all passed, and had great results. They were all very excited.”

World champion Highland dancer Lily Kelman, a fellow Elizabeth Fraser pupil, was on hand to hand over the medals to the young dancers.

The 15-year-old Inverness High School pupil was crowned Juvenile World Champion at the Cowal Highland Gathering in Dunoon last month.

The school’s pupils are regular performers at Highland Games events in Inverness, Nairn and Glenurquhart, with members having also performed at the Nairn Ceilidh Group summer ceilidhs for more than 30 years.
