A CITY church raised more than £900 for Inverness-based Highland Foodbank.

People attending the first part of a Harvest Fun Weekend at St Stephen’s Church were encouraged to bring food donations with them and also had a chance to enjoy a range of stalls, games and music.

Organiser Val Cantlay said: “We received a tremendous amount of support from the community and are delighted with the amount of money and food raised.

“Children were dancing and laughing and we really hope to organise this type of thing again in the future.

“All the proceeds will go to the food bank, which plays such an important role in providing meals to families in need.”

The fun was followed by an all-age Harvest Service in the church the following day.
