A 145-strong girls’ football club is back in business after a threat to its future.

Trophy-winning Thistle Girls, credited for a boom in young female participation in the sport in and around Inverness since 2017, has formally moved lock, stock and barrel under Caley Thistle’s guidance with training for younger years rebooting last Sunday.

As these pictures show, there was plenty of joy, energy, exertion and skill on show as girls from the age of six upwards returned to training sessions under their hard-working coaches after a short lay-off.
